To use watercolor on cotton canvas, it is important to first prepare the canvas by applying a layer of watercolor ground or gesso to create a smooth surface that will properly absorb the watercolor paint. Once the surface is prepared, you can start painting with watercolors as you would on watercolor paper, using watercolor brushes and a palette of watercolor paints. Keep in mind that watercolor on canvas may behave slightly differently than on paper, so it's a good idea to experiment and practice to get a feel for how the paint interacts with the canvas surface. **

To paint picks, you can start by cleaning them with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or debris. Next, you can use a primer specifically designed for metal surfaces to ensure the paint adheres properly. Once the primer is dry, you can use acrylic paint or spray paint to add color and design to the picks. Allow the paint to dry completely before using the picks for playing guitar. **

Double-sided picks are not necessary, but they can be useful for certain playing styles and techniques. They offer versatility by providing different tip shapes on each side, allowing for a variety of tones and playing options. Some guitarists prefer double-sided picks for their convenience and ability to switch between different playing styles without needing to change picks. Ultimately, whether double-sided picks are necessary depends on personal preference and playing style. **

Watercolor paints are generally considered non-toxic and safe for use, as they are made from pigments mixed with a water-based solution. However, some watercolor paints may contain toxic ingredients such as heavy metals or harmful chemicals, so it is important to check the label and use them in a well-ventilated area. It is always recommended to keep watercolor paints away from children and pets, and to wash hands thoroughly after use. **
